An 18-year-old man from Pennsylvania has been arrested after allegedly shooting both his parents and killing his mother the day after Christmas.
Jarrod Noll was captured in West Virginia following an extensive manhunt by Pennsylvania police. Officers say the teenager was carrying a weapon when he was detained. The incident unfolded on Friday, 26 December, at approximately 1.58pm local time.
Officers rushed to the scene after receiving reports of a shooting involving two victims at a property on Garrison Road in Freeport Township. Upon arrival, police discovered an adult woman with a gunshot wound. She was immediately rushed by paramedics to J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia, in critical condition.

Tragically, she was later declared dead at the hospital, reports the Mirror US.
Police also found an adult male victim who had suffered gunshot injuries. He was taken to the same hospital as the woman but has since been discharged in a stable condition. Initial inquiries revealed that the two victims were husband and wife, and their alleged attacker was their biological son.
“Following the incident, the suspect fled the scene on foot,” Pennsylvania State Police said in a statement. “An extensive search of the surrounding area was conducted; however, the suspect was not located at that time.”
As the manhunt got underway, police cautioned that “the suspect may be armed and dangerous.” Authorities also issued a detailed description of the suspect before Noll was apprehended, identifying him as a white male with brown hair, prominent eyebrows, a moustache, standing roughly six feet tall with an average build.
In a subsequent update posted on X at 6:01pm on Saturday, officials confirmed that Noll had been apprehended by the West Virginia State Police “without incident.”
Police revealed that Noll’s younger siblings were inside the property when the shooting occurred; however, as the incident took place outdoors, they remained unharmed. The siblings, whose names have been withheld, are now being cared for by another relative.
Noll remains in police custody in West Virginia awaiting extradition to Pennsylvania. He faces charges of homicide and attempted homicide.
