EastEnders spoilers follow for Thursday’s episode (1 May), which is available to watch now on streaming service BBC iPlayer and hasn’t yet aired on TV.
EastEnders’ Nicola Mitchell has confirmed a horrifying twist about Shireen Bashar’s death – and Teddy finally knows the truth.
The discovery of Shireen’s body and Benji’s arrest led the police to Nicola’s door, and heartbroken Harry grew suspicious about his mum’s involvement.
He confronted Nicola in the empty bar in today’s episode, having found out through Asad that the bracelet didn’t belong to Shireen and Nicola was desperately trying to flog Harry’s Barn.
Harry demanded the truth once and for all and broke down in tears over Shireen. He threatened to set the bar on fire, claiming to now have nothing left to live for.

He then turned violent and was set to attack his mum with a crowbar, but Teddy arrived in time to stop him.
Pushed to breaking point, Nicola confessed that she hired Benji to scare Shireen off, claiming that she thought she was abroad until a few days ago.
Harry also found out that Teddy tipped off the police about Benji, to make sure that Nicola wasn’t implicated in a crime she didn’t commit.

He raged at both his parents for their cover-up, as he has been treated as the prime suspect in Shireen’s murder for the past four years.
After another violent struggle, Harry told both his parents that they were dead to him and promised to “bury them” to get justice for Shireen.
Once alone, Teddy consoled Nicola, who slipped up and said that she wished she had never asked Benji to move Shireen’s body.

Teddy registered what Nicola had just said and realised that his ex-wife hadn’t been honest with him or Harry about what happened to Shireen.
“We had an argument, and she fell,” Nicola finally admitted, “and there was nothing I could do. It was me, Teddy. I killed her. It was an accident, I swear.”
Teddy was livid, having defended her and helped to cover up the crime, and Nicola asked him what he was going to do next.
Will Teddy tell Harry the real truth about Shireen’s death?
