Hollyoaks’ Mercedes McQueen is set to discover some proposal plans amid Warren Fox’s devastating secret.
Earlier in the year, Tony was shot on his wedding day to Diane, with the soap later revealing that Mercedes was the one who pulled the trigger.
Since then, Diane and Warren’s ex-girlfriend Gemma, who both know the truth, have been trying to ruin Mercedes’ life by getting her addicted to pills and blackmailing her.
On Christmas Day Mercedes discovered that Diane was behind the blackmail and Tony told Diane that he had known all along that it was Mercedes who shot him.

Mercedes and Warren fell out on Christmas Day after Warren overheard Mercedes admit to Theresa that she had been having doubts about her relationship with Warren.
Warren, who was planning on proposing, heard the whole thing and the pair got into a heated argument during Christmas dinner, with Warren telling Mercedes he knew she was addicted to pills.
After seeing Warren with Gemma, Mercedes accused her of telling him about the pills and attacked her. Diane stepped in, telling Mercedes she had been blackmailing her for shooting Tony.

Warren took Gemma back to her house and the pair ended up sleeping together before Mercedes went to Gemma’s house to apologise, while Warren listened from upstairs.
In next week’s scenes, things between Diane and Tony remain tense and Dodger questions Mercedes about Diane’s accusation.
At The Dog, Mercedes apologises to Diane, saying she is sorry for shooting Tony. Unable to report her at Tony’s request, an angry Diane reveals everything to Nancy and Darren.

Unable to get in touch with Warren, Mercedes struggles and Gemma wonders how Mercedes would react if she knew that they had slept together.
Warren finds an apologetic Mercedes, who takes back all of the cruel words she hurled at him during their heated exchange, admitting that she’s struggling to get a hold of her emotions.
Wanting a clean slate and to make their family work, Warren tells Mercedes he was devastated after hearing her conversation at Christmas and reveals his proposal plan. What will Mercedes say? And will she find out about Warren and Gemma’s betrayal?
These scenes will air on Monday, 5 January, Tuesday, 6 January and Wednesday, 7 January.
Hollyoaks airs on Mondays-Wednesdays with its Channel 4 streaming premiere at 7am, then an E4 broadcast the same night at 7pm. Full episodes are also released on YouTube a week after their Channel 4 release.
