Temporary airspace restrictions will be introduced in Edinburgh ahead of Hogmanay celebrations.

Police Scotland said the restrictions will cover the city centre between 6pm on Wednesday and 2am on Thursday.

It will be an offence for any unmanned aircraft to fly below 2,000ft above sea level within one nautical mile of Edinburgh Castle, the force said.

The ban includes drones, they added.
