Manchester United are striving to be the best in class both on and off the pitch under Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s INEOS.
Both the men’s and women’s teams have had their own respective challenges this season and will hope to use the January window.
A midfielder will be seen as a position which both teams could improve on.
Bruno Fernandes and Kobbie Mainoo are both out injured, with Mason Mount also a doubt for the game against Wolverhampton Wanderers.
For the women’s side, a midfielder is a much-needed position which can assist with depth as they enter a tough second half of the season.
Marc Skinner’s side sit fourth in the Women’s Super League with twenty-one points and are nine points behind first-placed Manchester City.
They are also in the round of sixteen of the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
A new midfielder could be the boost to both these competitions.

CentreDevils understands that Manchester United Women are looking at signing a midfielder this January window if all procedures go to plan, with the club assessing multiple targets.
Internal talks have taken place in recent weeks to look at all options.
Matt Johnson would ideally like a player who has experience.
CentreDevils exclusively broke that the Red Devils had completed the signings of Hanna Lundkvist and Lea Schuller.
Both these deals have now been officially confirmed.
Lundkvist joined from the American side, San Diego Wave, on a free transfer.
Schuller joined from Bayern Munich, where her contract was due to run out in six months.
With 103 goals in 179 appearances and eight goal contributions in her last five league games, she has made an impression while in Germany.
Adding a new experienced midfielder alongside these two new signings could turn this window revolutionary for the Red Devils.
