A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the alleged sexual assaults of three women in a Springburn supermarket. Police officers were alerted to Tesco Extra on Cobden Road yesterday afternoon (December 29).

Officers responded to reports of three sexual assaults inside the shop at around 4.50pm. A 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection with the alleged incidents, and he is due to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court today (December 30).

A source told The Scottish Sun: “The three women are badly shaken up. One is in a terrible state. Police were heavily involved at the time.”

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4.50pm on Monday, 29 December, 2025, we were called to a report of three women sexually assaulted within shop premises on Cobden Road, Glasgow.

“Officers attended, and a 25-year-old man was arrested and charged in connection.

“He is due to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 30 December, 2025.

“A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal.”
