Bristol City is proud to unveil a limited-edition heritage goalkeeper shirt, released to coincide with the club’s New Year’s Day fixture celebrating 50 years since promotion to the First Division was secured.

Inspired by the 1976/77 First Division colours, the shirt takes the current season’s goalkeeper kit pattern and reimagines it in a striking green colourway, finished with a heritage Bristol City crest.

Available in short sleeve adult sizes only, the shirt will be sold exclusively in the Bristol Sport Store and will not be available online. Supporters can purchase the shirt in-store on Thursday, January 1st, with the store open from 10am-5pm, ahead of City’s New Year’s Day fixture with Portsmouth.

The green goalkeeper shirt will be worn as a one-off during the New Year’s Day match against Portsmouth – the same opponents City beat to secure promotion in 1976 – alongside City’s white heritage outfield kit, which features the same commemorative badge.

Ahead of kick-off, the club will welcome back heroes from the promotion-winning side, with members of Alan Dicks’ squad receiving legacy caps in recognition of their contribution to one of the most significant moments in City’s history.
