A police car responding to an emergency in Edinburgh collided with a vehicle carrying multiple occupants as four people were treated at the scene.
The incident took place on Salisbury Road shortly before 9pm on Saturday, December 27, as the marked police car crashed with another vehicle containing four occupants.
All four people were treated at the scene by medics. The officers involved were not injured. Police also confirmed inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
It is understood two people have received subsequent treatment at hospital for their injuries.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 8.45pm on Saturday, 27 December, 2025, a marked police vehicle responding to an emergency and a car were in collision on Salisbury Road, Edinburgh.
“Four people from the car were treated at the scene. The officers were not injured. Enquiries are ongoing.”
