Emergency services were called to a railway station in Crosby this morning, Tuesday (December 30) after a trespasser was spotted on the tracks. British Transport Police was called to the train line near Hall Road railway station at 8.30am following reports of concern for the welfare of a trespasser on the tracks.

Officers attended and a person was taken to a “safe place”. Merseyrail services were brought to a standstill between Hightown and Hall Road while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Merseyrail said services were disrupted between Hightown and Hall Road “for a short while” but are now starting to resume as normal.
