TWO masked thugs armed with a blade stormed into a Scots home during a terrifying home invasion.
The masked pair forced their way into the house on Greenhill Avenue in Gartcosh, Lanarkshire, on Monday, December 22 around 10.25pm.

One of the brutes was armed with a knife during the horrifying ordeal.
They made a number of demands to the two people inside the home but ended up leaving with nothing.
Both men fled the scene in a silver saloon-type car.
They were both wearing balaclavas and dark clothing when they stormed the property.

Fortunately, nobody was injured during the home invasion.
Detectives have now launched a hunt for the suspects.
Investigators have urged anyone to come forward if they have information which could help catch the dangerous thugs.
People with dashcam footage or CCTV from the area at the time of the incident have been urged to check and call the police.

Detective Constable Scott Brown said: “This was a terrifying ordeal for two people in their own home.
“Extensive enquiries are ongoing, including door to door and CCTV footage examination, and we are now appealing for the help of the public.
“If you may have witnessed anything, or have CCTV or dash-cam footage from the area, please contact us.”
A Police Scotland spokesperson added: “Detectives are appealing for information following an attempted robbery in Gartcosh.
“Around 10.25pm on Monday, 22 December, two men forced entry to a property on Greenhill Avenue and made demands, however nothing was taken. There were no reports of any injuries.
“The men, both wearing balaclavas, made off in a silver saloon-type vehicle. They were both wearing black clothing and one had a bladed weapon.
“Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident 3579 of Monday, 22 December, 2025. Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
