A man remains fighting for his life in hospital after he fell from a multi-storey car park in Liverpool city centre. On Monday (December 22) emergency services were called to Victoria Street in the city centre at around 10.20pm with reports of a concern for safety of a man.

Merseyside Police said it received reports that a man aged in his 30s was stood on the top of a multi-storey car park. Officers attended the scene and a cordon was put in place. Shortly afterwards the man fell and was taken to hospital where he remains in a critical condition, the force confirmed in an update this morning , Tuesday (December 30).

A cordon was put in place on Cresshall Street off Dale Street following the incident, however it was removed later that day.
