A three car crash on a major Edinburgh road saw one casualty rushed to hospital. The incident, which took place on Morningside Road at around 4.45pm on Wednesday, December 31 2025, resulted in one person being taken for treatment.
The road was closed to allow for the emergency services to access the area and reopened over an hour later at 6pm. A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed one man will be reported for a driving offence.
They said: “Around 4.45pm on Wednesday, 31 December, 2025, we were called to Morningside Road in Edinburgh after a report of a three vehicle crash. Emergency services attended and one person was taken to hospital.
“The road closed to allow emergency services access and reopened around 6pm. One man will be reported for a driving offence.”
Pictures of the incident shared with Edinburgh Live show a large police response in attendance along with paramedics. One vehicle is halted on the road with the front bumper badly damaged.
