A man is in a critical condition in hospital after emergency services were called to a woodland in Oldham.
Police and paramedics descended on the Oldham Edge grassland at around 10.50am yesterday morning (December 30). Multiple emergency services vehicles were pictured stationed at the entrance on Henshaw Street.
Greater Manchester Police said officers were alerted to a ‘concern for welfare’. A man, aged in his 40s, was rushed to hospital from the scene.
He remains there in a critical condition today, the GMP spokesperson added. No further details have been released at this stage.
In a statement, the GMP spokesperson said: “We were called at 10.50am on Tuesday 30 December 2025 to reports of a concern for welfare. A male in his 40s has been taken to hospital where he remains in critical condition.”
