A New Zealand-based fishing site has shared footage showing a great white shark rising from the depths to attack what remained of a smaller hooked shark.

“Up close and personal with the King of the Ocean,” BlueWater Brothers described via Instagram.

The angler in the footage explains, “We caught a shark, and then our shark’s been eaten by a great white.”

The hooked shark (not a great white) appears to have been bitten in half by the time the footage begins. But the white shark is shown shark returning to claim the rest of its prize.

The BlueWater Brothers explained: “After this video we de-hooked the smaller shark and allowed the White to finish his feed before going his own way.”
