Corriedale, the hugely-anticipated crossover between Coronation Street and Emmerdale, is just days away from airing. Making it even more exciting, fans were told in November that they would get the chance to influence the content of the episode via a vote, and that is now open!

During production for the special episode, four scenes were filmed, each featuring one Corrie character interacting with somebody from Emmerdale: Charity Dingle and Carla Connor, Tracy McDonald and Ross Barton, Roy Cropper and Nicola King, and Kirk Sutherland and Sam Dingle.

Only one of those scenes will actually end up airing as part of the episode, and you can help decide which one.

You can comment on this Instagram post or over on Facebook with the pairing that you want to see the most.

We don’t know whether this counts as trying to rig the vote, but David Platt actor Jack P Shepherd did comment with: “Sam & Kirk is the best scene just saying.” Will that be the one we end up seeing?

Scenes that will definitely air will see Becky Swain try and escape the country with Lisa and Betsy in tow, Todd Grimshaw striving to make a break from the clutches of the abusive Theo Silverton, while Carl Webster threatens to ruin Debbie’s wedding night.

Elsewhere, Mackenzie Boyd is determined to catch up to Sarah Sugden after learning the truth about Charity’s pregnancy, while serial killer John Sugden puts his latest plan in motion.

These stories are going to collide — quite literally — but who will make it out alive and who won’t?

The special kicks off the new 2026 schedule for both soaps, as they will be airing back-to-back from 8pm every weeknight.

That does, however, mean that we’ll be getting half-an-hour less of each show per week, but it doesn’t necessarily indicate that the drama will be any less powerful.

Corriedale airs on Monday 5 January on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
