A 16-year-old was arrested after a teen was attacked inside a house in Litherland on New Year’s Eve (Wednesday, December 31). Merseyside Police were called at around 10.40pm following reports a 16-year-old was assaulted by two people inside a house on Croxteth Avenue.

The boy was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a facial injury and has since been discharged. Police believe the incident is isolated and house-to-house enquiries including CCTV and forensic examinations are ongoing. Merseyside Police remained at the scene on Friday, January 2.

A 16-year-old boy from Kirkdale was arrested on suspicion of Section 18 assault. He is still in police custody for questioning.
