Police taped off part of a Morrisons car park in Greater Manchester after a man tragically died on Friday afternoon (January 2). Officers, along with paramedics, attended the incident at the Hyde store off Mottram Road.

A man was confirmed to have died following a suspected medical episode in the car park. There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances involved in the incident.

Witnesses reported seeing crime scene police tape blocking off part of the car park on Friday afternoon, with a number of police vehicles and ambulances in attendance. Paramedics were also seen working on the man at the scene.

Emergency crews remained in attendance for a short while as enquiries were carried out. The scene was later cleared and the supermarket remained open.

The age of the man who died in the incident has not been confirmed by police. The North West Ambulance Service confirmed they were also called at around 2.44pm to a medical incident at that the patient was rushed to hospital.
