Two people will later appear in court

Two masked suspects allegedly ran into a flat and threatened people living there with a machete, before stealing a PlayStation 5 and bottle of vodka.
At around 10pm on New Year’s Eve (December 31), Merseyside Police received reports of a house burglary in Birkenhead. Officers attended and following enquires four people were arrested in Poulton. The stolen PlayStation console was found and a machete was recovered.
Leighton Conlan, 18, of Bakersfield Drive in Southport, and a 16-year-old male from Litherland, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged with aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit a burglary with intent to steal. They were refused bail and are due to appear at Liverpool Adult Remand Court today (Friday, January 2)..
Two women, an 18-year-old woman from Wirral and a 19-year-old woman from Liverpool, were arrested on suspicion of aggravated burglary and conspiracy to commit aggravated burglary with intent to steal. They have been released on police bail with conditions pending further enquiries. No injuries have been reported.
