RCT Hydrogen is set to begin manufacturing electrolyzers in Germany
Hydrogen equipment manufacturer RCT GH Hydrogen GmbH (RCT Hydrogen), part of RCT Group, will begin producing electrolyser stacks in Thuringia, Germany, in early 2026, with a target annual output of up to 250 MW.
The company plans to initiate megawatt-scale green hydrogen projects catering to industrial clients, as shared on social media.
RCT Hydrogen provides alkaline pressurized electrolyser technology and aims to support medium- and large-scale initiatives. The company also uses a hydrogen-as-a-service model.
“The ramp-up process has commenced, and transitioning to local production in Germany is a significant step towards facilitating cost-effective and reliable green hydrogen production in Europe,” RCT Hydrogen stated.
Located in Constance, Germany, the company was founded in 2024 through a strategic alliance between RCT Holding and China’s Jiangsu Guofu Hydrogen Energy Equipment (Guofuhee). In 2023, the two entities announced plans for a 1-GW electrolyser manufacturing facility in Germany.
