The team at Manorfield Hall community centre in Belle Isle made sure local residents had a cracking Christmas with a number of special events.

On 11 December 30 people attended the Christmas Dinner Party. As well as a three course Christmas feast, partygoers enjoyed entertainment from Stephanie Faye Dobson and an energetic performance from DAZL dancers.

DAZL Director and Manorfield Hall Board Member, Ian Rodley, commented:

“A big heartfelt thank you to all who attended and supported this wonderful community celebration. Here’s to community, connection, and Christmas spirit!”

There was another Christmas meal the following week, this time for the regular Wednesday Lunch Club. The Debbie Hart Theatre School, who are based at the hall, performed their Christmas show and DAZL held Healthy Holiday sessions.

The Hall will be back to its regular programme from Monday 5 January including the Tuesday Coffee Morning; Wednesday Lunch Club; Thursday Tots Club; Friday Breakfast Club and Food Bank. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the warm environment, relax and connect with others.

On the first Tuesday of every month the Hall hosts a Buy, Sell, Swap event, great for bargain hunters and recyclers. The hall is also used by DAZL, 3rd Middleton Scouts, Celebration Church International and is available for private parties.
