Nintendo Switch 2 sales in the United Kingdom have already surpassed those achieved by the Wii U, SEGA Dreamcast and PlayStation Vita.
That’s according to data from marketing research firm NielsenIQ, which The Game Business editor-in-chief and co-founder Chris Dring shared on social media.
Launched on 5 June 2025, Nintendo most recently confirmed last September that it had sold more than 10.36 million Nintendo Switch 2 consoles across the globe.
That early success saw the company upwardly revise its full-year sales forecast for the portable home console successor, which it now expects to surpass 19 million console sales by 31 March 2026.
Nintendo Switch 2 is now available at retailers worldwide, priced at £395.99 in the United Kingdom, €469.99 across Europe, and $449.99 in the United States.
