Ebanie Bridges will pay a touching tribute to Ricky Hatton when she steps back into the ring for the first time since December 2023 on Saturday evening against Alexis Araiza.
British boxing legend Hatton was found dead at his home in Hyde, Greater Manchester on September 14, at just 46-years-old, leaving the world of sport in shock.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the Ricky Hatton Foundation shared that Bridges will be wearing a Hatton inspired kit with the Ricky Hatton Foundation logo. They said: “Honoured to see our logo worn by @EbanieBridges in a beautiful tribute to Ricky.

“Strength, courage and heart – values that live on.” The image showed the logo on Bridges’ shorts – while the main colour of the outfit was light blue in tribute to Hatton’s beloved Manchester City.
Quoting the post, Bridges added: “Ricky Hatton inspired kit, I know he is watching from above and I look forward to making him proud tonight!”
“Great tribute and fabulous foundation,” one fan responded. While a second said: “Absolute class Ebs!”

“I love this fair play to you @EbanieBridges,” a third replied. And another added: “Love that! Good luck for tonight Ebanie, let’s go!!”
Bridges is ready to make her long awaited return to the ring on Saturday evening, with her last bout coming way back in December 2023 when she dropped the IBF Bantamweight World Championship to Maya Yoshida.
Earlier this year she signed a deal with American YouTuber turned fighter Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions (MVP).
Bridges (9-2) and Araiza (3-2-1) will light up the undercard of Amanda Serrano vs Erika Cruz II. Serrano, who beat Cruz in 2023 but lost her world title to Katie Taylor in two defeats in 2024 and 2025, is also a fighter for Paul’s MVP.
The fight at the Coliseo Roberto Clemente, San Juan, will be screened live on the DAZN streaming platform and Bridges has said she is excited to get back to what she does best, with her gorgeous son at ringside.
