A council has apologised for failing to collect some household recycling after Christmas.
South Gloucestershire Council said the large amount of recyclable waste in need of collection meant its crews were unable to collect it all.
In a statement posted on social media, the council apologised for any inconvenience caused and asked residents to keep hold of their waste until their next scheduled collection day.
“If you have additional recycling at your next collection, you can put this out with your recycling boxes,” it added.
