With the tie already in London’s favour following Friday’s 19-point first-leg win, the Lions showed composure and resilience to finish the job on the road — capped by a late Amin Adamu floater with 12 seconds remaining, before forcing a miss from Joe Anderson at the buzzer.
Johnathan Williams led the Lions with 16 points on 8-of-11 shooting, dominating the paint during a pivotal third-quarter surge.
Chasson Randle provided timely shot-making with 16 points, including a buzzer-beating three to close the third quarter, while Tarik Phillip added 11 points, six rebounds, and five assists to steady London down the stretch.
Adamu finished with the decisive basket, and London again leaned on balanced contributions to close out the tie.
Bristol made the early running, riding a hot start and strong defensive pressure to build a 24–13 first-quarter lead.
William Yoakum scored eight early points as the Flyers forced turnovers and disrupted London’s rhythm, taking a 37–26 advantage into halftime as the Lions struggled offensively.
London flipped the script after the break.
The third quarter proved decisive as Johnathan Williams sparked a momentum shift, throwing down three straight dunks to ignite a comeback.
Aaryn Rai added a three and quick follow-up scores to trim the deficit, before Williams rejected Yoakum at the rim and finished again inside to make it a one-point game. Randle’s late surge — including a buzzer-beating triple — pushed the Lions into the fourth with a 58–57 lead.
The final period became a test of toughness and execution.
London generated second-chance opportunities through offensive rebounds and extended the margin to five behind Adamu and Phillip, before Bristol clawed back.
Joe Anderson’s late layup briefly gave the Flyers the lead inside the final minute, but Adamu responded, muscling into the lane and converting a calm floater to reclaim the advantage. Anderson’s step-back attempt at the other end fell short, sealing the win.
With the victory, the Lions advance to the SLB Trophy Final, where they will face either the Newcastle Eagles or Cheshire Phoenix, who meet later this afternoon.
The Trophy Final will take place on Sunday, February 1, at the Utilita Arena, Birmingham, tipping off at 3.30pm.
