Winter cold snap continues to cause issues on the region’s roads

The North Wales road network continues to be impacted by snow and ice today (Monday). Yellow alerts for snow and ice for North Wales are in effect again today as the winter weather continues to cause disruption.
The Met Office has warned of travel disruption due to snow and ice, with issues over the weekend on the A55 and A487 the A470 and A5.
Today the road network across the region continues to be affected. Here is the latest of list of roads impacted by the snow as of 7.50am
Current closures and problems:
- Gwynedd: A470 in both directions just passable due to snow from the A496 (Llanelltyd) to the A4212 (Trawsfynydd).
- Conwy: A5 in both directions just passable due to snow from the A543 (Pentrefoelas) to A483 (Halton Roundabout, Halton).
- A55 westbound J9 Treborth off slip. Queuing traffic in the area. Proceed with care . Driving conditions remain poor.
- Gwynedd A5 in both directions just passable due to snow and ice from Braichmelyn (Grisiau-Cochion) to the A4086 (Capel Curig).
- Gwynedd: A470 in both directions just passable due to snow from the A496 (Llanelltyd) to the A4212 (Trawsfynydd).
- Conwy: A548 in both directions just passable due to snow from the B5113 (Llanrwst) to the A544 (Llanfairtalhaiarn).
- Horseshoe Pass, Denbighshire: A542 Horseshoe Pass in both directions impassable due to snow between the B5103 and the A5104.
- Gwynedd: A458 in both directions just passable due to snow from A470 (Mallwyd roundabout, Mallwyd) to Pen Y Ddol (Foel).
- Gwynedd: A4244 in both directions just passable due to snow from the A4086 (Brynrefail) to the B4366 (Rhiwlas).
- Gwynedd: 4086 in both directions just passable due to snow from the A498 (Pont Pen-y-benglog) to Nant Ffynnon (Nant Peris).
- Denbighshire: The A494 in both directions just passable due to snow from the A5104 (Corwen) to the B5105 (Ruthin).
