There are serious concerns for the man from Wales who had travelled to Thailand on the trip of a lifetime

A Welsh man travelled abroad on the trip of a lifetime but has vanished and now there are serious concerns. Police have launched an appeal to find Mark Counsell, from Pontypool, who had travelled to Thailand but is now missing, Gwent Police said in a statement on Monday.
Mark was last seen via a video call to his loved ones on Christmas Day between 9am and 10am. Mark’s family believe the 31-year-old is in Thailand or the Kuala Lumpur area of Malaysia.
He is described as a white male who is around 5ft 9in height, with an average build. He has short brown hair with faded sides and a short brown/ginger beard which is longer on the chin. He was last seen wearing a khaki coloured Fred Perry t-shirt.
A spokesperson for Gwent Police said said: “Anyone with information about Mr Counsell’s whereabouts is asked to contact Gwent Police on 101 or send the force a direct message on social media, quoting log reference 2600001644. Mr Counsell is also urged to get in touch with police.”
