A dispersal order was put in place after a group of young people caused trouble for shop owners in a Lancashire town, police said.
The order was issued after a group of up to 25 people were “causing nuisance and being abusive” towards business owners, visitors and children in Morecambe.
The force said the order was in place from Friday night and ended on Saturday morning at 03:00 GMT – with officers now reminding parents of the need to talk to their children about their behaviour.
A dispersal order gives officers the power to order people to leave an area if they are suspected of committing, or being likely to commit, a criminal offence or anti-social behaviour.
