Mental Health United Thanet was founded by Danny Harris, Luke Menzies and Carl Morgan

Mental Health United Thanet, founded by Danny Harris, Luke Menzies and Carl Morgan in 2024, is expanding its community support with the launch of a new Walk & Talk initiative.

The club was created to help people who have struggles with mental health or addiction and caters for men, women and children of all ages and abilities to join in for a friendly kick about and to have a healthy, non-judgemental outlet to talk and have fun.

The new walk and talk sessions will take place every last Sunday of the month, offering a relaxed and welcoming space for people to connect while enjoying a gentle walk and open conversation.

The first Walk & Talk will be held on 25th January, meeting outside Westbay Cafe at 1pm. After a short walk, the group will return to the café, where the owners have offered 50% off teas and coffees for those attending.

Under 18s need to be supervised. Dogs are welcome. Wear comfortable shoes. The sessions will be held on the last Sunday of every month.

Adding to this positive momentum, Mental Health United Thanet has also been chosen for an award by Thanet Community Champions, which the team will proudly collect at the end of January—a fitting recognition of their ongoing commitment to mental health support within the local community.

Everyone is welcome to join the Walk & Talk and be part of a growing, supportive network.

Mental Health United Thanet football sessions take place at Margate Football Club every Friday 8pm-9pm.

All are welcome. Find the team on Instagram @mentalhealthunitedthanet or Whatsapp 07775338090 to be added to the group.
