Tributes have been paid following the death of a former rally driver who survived attempts on his life by the IRA and was forced to seek refuge on the Isle of Man during the Troubles.
Mervyn Johnston passed away last Thursday after a short illness and was one of Northern Ireland’s most experienced rally drivers.
