Weather warnings for snow and ice shuts more than 380 Welsh schools

Snow and ice warnings are in place across Wales until 11:00 GMT, bringing further disruption and school closures.

More than 380 schools are closed for a second day as the new school term begins, with poor road conditions making travel difficult.

Schools in Anglesey, external, Bridgend, external, Carmarthenshire, external, Ceredigion, external, Neath Port Talbot, external, Gwynedd, external, Pembrokeshire, external, Powys, external, Swansea, external and Wrexham, external have been closed as motorists face tricky conditions, with a number of roads blocked due to snowfall.

The cold weather looks set to continue, with wintry showers forecast and a mix of rain, sleet and snow likely later in the day.
