Amanda Seyfried was confused about one part of Timothée Chalamet‘s message to Kylie Jenner at the 2026 Critics Choice Awards.

When he won Best Actor for Marty Supreme at the award ceremony held Sunday, Jan. 4, Chalamet, 30, concluded his acceptance speech by professing his love for Jenner, whom he called “my partner of three years.”

“Thank you for our foundation. I love you. I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you from the bottom of my heart,” said Chalamet, as Jenner, 28, smiled and mouthed “I love you” from her seat.

When podcaster Evan Ross Katz shared highlights from the speech on Instagram, Seyfried, 40, commented on the post: “OH not like a foundation/charity I was curious about that.”

The Housemaid star Seyfried was in attendance at the Critics Choice Awards after earning a Best Actress nomination for her work in The Testament of Ann Lee. (Hamnet’s Jessie Buckley ultimately won that category.) Both Seyfried and Chalamet were in the 2015 Christmas movie Love the Coopers.

Chalamet, who kissed Jenner before going onstage to accept his win, admitted he was “more nervous than I thought I’d be” in his speech, as he also shined a light on his fellow nominees in the category, Leonardo DiCaprioJoel Edgerton, Ethan Hawke, Michael B. Jordan and Wagner Moura.

“I got a lot of people to thank. I don’t know if I’ll be up here again, so give me a second,” he told the crowd, before thanking the Marty Supreme crew.

Chalamet then told director Josh Safdie, “You made a story about a flawed man with a relatable dream, and you didn’t preach to the audience about what’s right and wrong. And I think we should all be telling stories like that, so thank you for this dream.”

Chalamet and Seyfried are both nominated for the 2026 Golden Globe Awards, which will be held this Sunday, Jan. 11, with host Nikki Glaser. Seyfried is a double nominee at that ceremony, also recognized for her TV series Long Bright River.
