LONDON, Ky. (WKYT) – The London City Council has reached an agreement on the city’s budget and adopted an emergency ordinance to address funding issues.
In a court filing, the lawyer for the city council said an emergency ordinance on the budget was adopted Monday night.
The action follows a hearing Monday in court over potential cuts the budget would have caused.

The filing said the ordinance would appropriate additional money to deal with a garbage fund issue. The garbage fund was what the council said led to budget cuts.
The filing said the amended budget will be in effect once it is passed. The council expects the mayor to sign it Tuesday.
