Councillors are set to decide an application for a premises licence at a takeaway food outlet in Swinnow.
Mr Farshad Tahsili has applied to sell late night refreshment at Pizza Labella, at Swinnow Shopping Centre.
He wants to sell refreshments Monday to Thursday, from 11pm to 12am.
He also wants to open Friday to Sunday, from 11pm to 3am. He says the premises will close at 12am and not be open to the public with only a delivery service provided until 3am.
There have been six objections from neighbours, who raise issues including increases in late-night traffic and noise, and a flashing LCD display screen “causing sleep disturbance, disruption to children’s sleep schedules and stress to animals”.
Police dropped their objections following the agreement of measures with the applicant. Measures include CCTV cameras in operation and a Check 25 age verification policy and other checks.
Councillors sitting on the council’s licensing sub committee will decide the application at Leeds Civic Hall on Tuesday, 13 January at 10am. Council reports and documents can be read here.
