Mothers Against Genocide Scotland (MAGS) staged a demonstration outside the offices of JPMorgan Chase & Co on Glasgow’s Argyle Street on Monday.
The campaign group – comprised of pro-Palestine mothers in Scotland – accused the bank of profiting from the killing of babies in Gaza, through its $22 million shareholding in Israeli weapons manufacturer Elbit Systems.

Elbit Systems provides around 85% of Israel’s drones and land-based military equipment and has played a major role in supplying Israel with weaponry for its genocide in Gaza.

At the demonstration, protesters held signs reading “JP Morgan complicit in genocide”, “JP Morgan profits when Elbit drones snipe children in the head” and “Monsters work here”.

Campaigners also raised the ongoing hunger strike of a number of Palestine Action prisoners, who have demanded that all Elbit Systems factories in the UK are shut down.
Heba Muraisi, Teuta Hoxha, Kamran Ahmed, and Lewie Chiaramello are on day 65, 59, 58 and 44, respectively, of their hunger strikes.
The National told how Muraisi, the longest-serving hunger striker among the group, is suffering muscle spasms and difficulty breathing.
Signs reading “Support the Hunger Strikers” and “This genocide is not possible without Elbit” were also shown outside the bank’s offices.

Sara, a member of MAGS, said: “While Heba Muraisi has been risking her life for 64 days, calling for justice and the closure of Elbit, banks like JPMorgan continue to hold millions in shares. This level of complicity is unacceptable.”

Protesters also set up a washing line filled with baby socks outside the offices, as a tribute to children killed in Gaza.

Fellow MAGS member Debbie added: “Each sock carries the name of a child who should still be alive. These are not abstract symbols – they are real babies and children.
“JPMorgan’s investment in Elbit means profit is being made from unimaginable loss.”
