Asha Neighbourhood Project has been working to improve the lives of women and children living in South Leeds for 40 years.
The Beeston charity runs a range of groups for women from its centre on Stratford Street in the heart of Beeston Hill.
Every Tuesday they hold a Mums and Under 5s group from 1-2:30pm. This is a safe space to take some time for self care.
Are looking to make new friends, get fitter, feel better? Join the Walking Buddies on Wednesday afternoons, 1-2:30pm. Enjoy some gentle exercise in the outdoors with friendly companions.
The Arts & Crafts group runs every Thursday afternoon from 1-2:30pm.
On Fridays between 11am-2pm you can drop in for health information and advice – blood pressure checks, weigh in, family planning, etc. There’s no need to make an appointment, just drop in.
For more information please contact TahenaAhmed@AshaLeeds.org.uk or call on 0113 270 4600.

South Leeds Life is published by a not-for-profit social enterprise. We keep our costs as low as possible but we’ve been hit by increases in the print costs for our monthly newspaper which have doubled in the last two years.
