The highly-anticipated live-action remake of Disney’s 2010 beloved movie Tangled has found its two protagonists.
Directed by Michael Gracey, who helmed musical biopics Better Man and The Greatest Showman, the live-action feature is set to star Titans star Teagan Croft as Rapunzel and Disney Channel star Milo Manheim as Flynn Rider (via The Hollywood Reporter).
The roles of Rapunzel and Flynn were previously voiced by Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi in the animated version.
Following the official announcement, Manheim, who also featured in Eli Roth’s holiday horror Thanksgiving, took to Instagram to share the news with his followers.
“Too grateful to put into words,” he captioned a side-by-side picture of himself and the animated Flynn.

Croft is yet to comment on the announcement.
Kristin Burr, who produced Freakier Friday as well as 2021’s live-action Cruella, is producing the upcoming movie. Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who co-wrote and directed Do Revenge and the new I Know What You Did Last Summer, wrote the script.

Speaking about the feat for Zootropolis 2, writer and co-director Jared Bush said: “Everyone at Disney Animation put their heart, soul and passion into this film to tell a story full of joy, imagination and incredible thoughtfulness.
“This milestone means the world to us, because more than anything, it means audiences are coming to theatres for a shared experience of watching this movie on the big screen, everyone together, from all walks of life around the world — and that is a Zootopia dream come true.”
