Police are urgently appealing to the public for help in locating a missing man. John Halliday, 77, was last seen at his home on Brandearth Hey in Stockbridge Village at around 12 noon on Wednesday, January 7.
He is described as white, of medium build, approximately 5ft 8in tall, with short dark greying hair, a grey moustache and brown eyes. When he was last seen, John was wearing a black and green padded jacket.
Police said he is known to frequent local betting shops in the Stockbridge Village area.
A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: “We are urgently appealing for help in finding a 77-year-old man missing from home in Stockbridge Village.
“John Halliday, was last seen at his home on Brandearth Hey at around 12 noon today, Wednesday 7 January.”
Anyone who sees him is asked to call 999 so police can make sure he is safe.
