Coronation Street and Emmerdale star Paula Lane has confirmed the happy news that she has welcomed a baby with husband and fellow Corrie star Tom Shaw. The star shared a series of sweet snaps on Instagram, also revealing the name of the newborn boy.
“Welcome to the ranch Patrick, we are all completely and utterly in love,” the star wrote. “So longed for… thank you for completing us.”
Paula has since received a host of supportive messages from her soap co-stars, with Emmerdale’s Laura Norton (Kerry Wyatt) writing: “Amazing, congrats beautiful.”
“Sending the hugest amount of love to you Tom and the children from Me and Al,” added Lisa Riley (Mandy Dingle). “Patrick will be loved and loved some more CONGRATULATIONS.”
Corrie’s Samia Longchambon (Maria Connor) shared: “Congratulations Paula! Beautiful news,” while Lucy-Jo Hudson (Katy Harris) said: “Ahhh it’s a boy. Congrats lovely so happy for you and Tom.”

“Awwww babe!!! Huge congratulations, love you xxx,” added Catherine Tyldesley (Eva Price).
Paula confirmed back in August that she and Tom – who already share a son and daughter – were expecting a baby, posting: “Some special news to share from us. Christmas just got a bit more magical. Our baby boy due December 2025.”
The actor originally rose to fame playing Kylie Platt on Corrie between 2010 and 2016, and has been best known for playing Ella Forster in Emmerdale in recent years. Tom previously played Kim Vaughan on Corrie, though long before his wife joined the soap.

Paula exited Emmerdale last year, and subsequently thanked fans for their support in a video taken when she filmed her final scenes last February.
“I just wanted to say that I have had a lovely time here. I’ve met some wonderful people and I will really, really cherish the experience,” she said.
“I just want to say thank you all for your support and your messages, and I hope you get to see me on some new dramas in the future, or on stage, or wherever life now takes me in my career.”
