Fasion-fanatics, gather round. A royally ravishing exhibition dedicated to the remarkable style of Queen Elizabeth II is landing in London later this year. Where is it taking place, I hear you ask? Buckingham Palace, of course.

In the year in which Britain’s longest-reigning monarch would have turned 100 years old; Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style will showcase and celebrate the late, great queen’s distinctive style and long-lasting fashion legacy.

Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style

The exhibition will feature around 200 incredible items, many of which will be going on display for the very first time. The event will mark the biggest and most comprehensive exhibition of Queen Elizabeth II’s fashion to have ever taken place. And it will span all ten decades of her life; from childhood to adulthood and princess to queen.

Londoners (and beyond) can expect to get up close and personal with the likes of clothing, jewellery, and accessories. But some of the most exciting items on display will come in the form of never-before-seen sketches, samples, and handwritten correspondence; detailing the behind-the-scenes process of dressing the world’s most famous woman for some of the most momentous occasions. These previously hidden gems will shed new light on Queen Elizabeth II’s participation in the creation of her wardrobe.

Among the 200 dazzling pieces on display will be her wedding dress, her coronation dress, and the outfit she wore at Princess Margaret’s wedding. It all sounds pretty darn exciting to me.

Queen Elizabeth II: Her Life in Style will be running at The King’s Gallery at Buckingham Palace from April 10 – October 18. Find out more and snap up a ticket here.
