I do not, under any circumstances, want my face printed on a Guinness. Leave the poor thing alone. I used to have to inscribe shamrocks into the domed foam in a branch of O’Neill’s, much to my chagrin, and seeing people’s faces etched into their pints at Covent Garden’s newly opened Guinness Open Gate Brewery brought flashbacks. A tour of this new £73m microbrewery is not for me, nor is the much-publicised immersive, “interactive” experience.
