Fire crews rushed to the scene of a major blaze at an industrial estate this evening, January 9. The Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service dealt with the incident in Bangor, County Down, with multiple appliances in attendance and large plumes of smoke reported.
The fire broke out at a car dealership in the Balloo Industrial Estate, our sister publication BelfastLive reports. Motorists and nearby residents were urged to avoid the area while emergency services remained on scene, with the PSNI advising residents to “keep windows closed” due to the smoke. Before 7pm, the car dealership, Fusco Vehicle Sales, said the fire had been brought under control, and everybody was safe and well.
