Blockbuster West End musical Disney’s Hercules has released a new song from the show, featuring leading man Luke Brady singing ‘To Be Human’.
Disney’s epic new production of Hercules is now playing at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, booking to 18 July 2026.
Directed and choreographed by Tony Award-winner Casey Nicholaw (The Greatest Showman The New Musical, Mean Girls), Hercules stars Luke Brady (The Prince of Egypt) in the title role, with Mae Ann Jorolan (Hercules, Aladdin) as Meg, Trevor Dion Nicholas (Hadestown, Hamilton, Aladdin) as Phil, Stephen Carlile (The Lion King) as Hades, and Craig Gallivan (Frozen) and Lee Zarrett (My Fair Lady) as Bob and Charles.
The Five Muses are Candace Furbert (The Book of Mormon) as Thalia, Sharlene Hector (Hairspray) as Clio, Brianna Ogunbawo (The Lion King) as Melpomene, Leslie Beehann (Hercules Germany) as Calliope and Robyn Rose-Li (The Baker’s Wife) as Terpsichore. Kamilla Fernandes (Grease) is Standby Muse.

The ensemble of Hercules includes Rhianne Alleyne, Lana Antoniou, Daisy Barnett, Felipe Bejarano, Sarah Benbelaid, Joel Benjamin, Jack Butcher, Nicole Carlisle, Francessca Daniella-Baker, Jemal Felix, Marie Finlayson, Ryesha Higgs, Cruz-Troy Hunter, Travis Kerry, Stefan Lagoulis, Jason Leigh Winter, Jordan Livesey, Harriet Millier, Ellie Mitchell, Saffi Needham, Ingrid Olivia, Matt Overfield, Patrick Robinson, Ope Sowande, and Rhys West.
Hercules is inspired by Disney’s 1997 smash-hit animated film directed by John Musker and Ron Clements (The Little Mermaid), and written by Clements, Musker, Donald McEnery, Bob Shaw and Irene Mecchi.
The show boasts music by 8-time Oscar winner Alan Menken and lyrics by Tony Award winner David Zippel, and a brand-new book by Tony Award winner Robert Horn (Tootsie) and former artistic director of The Young Vic, Kwame Kwei-Armah.
Joining Casey Nicholaw in the creative team are co-choreographer Tanisha Scott; set and additional video design from Dane Laffrey; costume design by Gregg Barnes and Sky Switser; lighting design by Jeff Croiter and sound design by Adam Fisher. The production team also includes video designer George Reeve, hair by Mia M. Neal, make-up by Kirk Cambridge-Del Pesche and special effects from Jeremy Chernick. The music team is headed by music supervisor and arranger Michael Kosarin, with orchestrations from Danny Troob and Joseph Joubert, and dance arrangements by David Chase. Casting is by Natalie Gallacher CDG for Pippa Ailion and Natalie Gallacher Casting.
