Much has been made of the form that Willie Mullins’ stable was in over the festive period, but it looks like the Closutton maestro is set to go up a gear.

Mullins has played second fiddle to Gordon Elliott so far this season and is nearly €1m in arrears in their trainers’ championship battle, but this is typically when he starts ramping things up.
