Renfrew Community Council (RCC) are inviting local residents, community groups, and representatives to clean up the churchyard of Renfrew Parish Church on Sunday, February 15.

The event will take place from 11am at the church on Renfrew High Street, with organisers aiming to bring people together to care for a well-used shared space in the heart of the town.

Jan Bunch, vice-chair of RCC, said: “This is about people coming together to look after a place that matters to Renfrew.

“It doesn’t take much – a few hours and a bit of teamwork – to make a visible difference.

“Events like this remind us that looking after our town works best when we do it together.”

No experience is needed to take part in the clean-up, and basic equipment will be available on the day.

For health and safety reasons, small children will not be able to attend, but older children are welcome if supervised.

Callum Reid, chair of RCC, said: “Renfrew has always been strongest when people step in and share the effort.

“This is a simple, practical way to do something positive together, and we’d love to see a good mix of residents, groups and local representatives getting involved.”

Anyone planning to attend is asked to complete a short form in advance to help organisers plan equipment and numbers.

The form can be accessed HERE.
