The biggest sports indoor arena in Europe, La Défense Arena hosted handball as part of the Tournoi de France, a warm-up tournament for EHF EURO 2026. Arena capacity which can be 30.000 in maximum was set on 17.000 seats, but only 10.000 witnessed French win over Austria 34:29 (18:16) in an interesting match.
In a tight match that remained contested until the end—but one in which they never panicked—France overcame an Austrian side that was once again very hard to break down. The Bleus will face Iceland, who defeated Slovenia (32–26), this Sunday to conclude the weekend of handball at La Défense Arena.
