Belgian side Sint-Truiden VV are in interested in Birmingham City’s Marc Leonard this month and have gathered information on him.
That’s according to journalist Sacha Tavolieri. He reports that Sint-Truiden are exploring deals for the midfielder.
According to his information, initial discussions have taken place. The deal being looked at for now is a loan deal without a purchase option included.
Birmingham City boss Chris Davies has already admitted this week that Leonard could be part of ‘moving parts’ at the club this month. He is expecting a busy transfer window for the Blues and Leonard could depart.
The 24-year-old has played 15 games for Birmingham in the Championship this season. But he’s only managed 29% of the available minutes to date and only started five times to date.
That’s seemingly paved the way for him to depart Birmingham this month. Sint-Truiden could offer him a move. According to Tavolieri, they’re already exploring options for a deal.
What they might offer Birmingham, remains to be seen. The Blues only have two other central midfield options in their squad in Tommy Doyle and Seung-ho Paik, so may want a reinforcement in before letting Leonard leave.
