Employers across Wales are actively recruiting for a wide range of roles offering salaries of £30,000 or more, presenting a real opportunity for workers to make a fresh start in 2026. From skilled trades and engineering to healthcare, retail leadership, digital roles, and public services these positions span multiple sectors and are open to candidates at different stages of their careers.

Whether you’re looking to progress into a leadership role, move into a new industry, or secure a more stable and rewarding position many of these jobs offer competitive pay, long-term security, and the chance to make a meaningful impact in your community.

This recruitment drive comes as Wales enters a rapidly evolving employment landscape in 2026 shaped by significant changes to workers’ rights across the UK. Following the Employment Rights Act receiving Royal Assent at the end of 2025 the UK Government says more than 15m workers will benefit from stronger protections with reforms introduced in stages from April and October.

Key changes include strengthened statutory sick pay from day one of employment, enhanced rights for new parents, stronger redundancy protections, and a ban on “fire and rehire’ practices. Further measures will tighten tipping rules, strengthen protections against workplace sexual harassment, and introduce new obligations for employers around trade union rights.

Additional reforms planned for 2027 include expanded rights for pregnant workers, a new entitlement to bereavement leave, changes to flexible working arrangements, and the end of zero-hour contracts. For our free daily briefing on the biggest issues facing the nation, sign up to the Wales Matters newsletter here.

With these changes on the horizon now is an exciting time to explore new opportunities in Wales. Below is a list of 20 jobs in Wales that each offer salaries of more than £30,000 a year. Each listing includes the job title, a short description, the salary or salary range, the location, and any available information about hours. There is also a link to find out more or apply for each.
