It’s bonkers, but we’re all desperate to work out who Conkers is on The Masked Singer UK. The hit ITV guessing game is back tonight as panelists Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Maya Jama try to work out exactly who is inside the wacky costumes.

Host Joel Dommett will be introducing the celebrities to the stage once more as we get new performances – and importantly clues.

Moth, Can of Worms, Red Panda, Conkers, Arctic Fox, Toastie, Sloth and Gargoyle are all still in the competition. And fans have been speculating all week about the identity of Conkers.

Clues for Conkers included:

  • The song Castle on the Hill by Ed Sheeran playing as footage showed a castle on a hill
  • ‘up for any challenge’ but admitted they also have a tendancy to ‘hide in a shell’
  • reference to Sir Lancelot
  • ‘ghosts don’t scare me’.

And fans of the show say the clues are pointing right as pop star Olly Murs. Castle on the Hill could point to Olly’s performances at various castles, including when he headlined a show at Lincoln Castle in June 2025 as part of his “15 Years of Hits” tour.

Olly has already proven he’s up for any challenge, first rising to fame on The X Factor. He’s also into his fitness and has participated in the Great North Run half marathon.

The reference to ghosts could also hint at his song, Go Ghost.

One viewer wrote on X: “I’m saying Conkers is Olly Murs disguising his singing voice! Lego heart + “hit my Mark” – he presents a Heart radio show with Mark Wright. “Ghosts don’t scare me” – he has a song called Go Ghost.”

A second said: “Ain’t that olly murs,” and a third added: “Sure sounds like Olly trying to disguise his voice.”

Last week, fans were stunned as Teabag was revealed to be rapper Professor Green.

The Masked Singer airs on Saturday, January 10 on ITV1 at 7pm.
