The man was puzzled at what he captured on his mobile phone. He said four or five lights formed in a line before disappearing without a trace.
An intriguing video has been shared by an Edinburgh resident of strange lights over the Pentland Hills.
Captured from their flat window in the Forrester area of the capital, the footage appears to show several lights hovering above the nature site to the south of the city. The man, who wishes to remain anonymous, claimed four to five lights appeared before they turned into one ball of light and then disappeared.
The video was shot at around 7.30pm on Thursday January 8. It is believed the lights appeared above the Allermuir Hill region of the Pentlands.
“It was a horizontal line of four or five lights , then at the end of the video it looked like one ball of light that stayed stationery for a good 10-15 minutes,” he said. “Then the light disappeared , if it was a helicopter you would have seen it fly away.
“It happened while I was eating my dinner in my flat. I spotted and rushed to grab my phone to record.
“Hillend ski slope is to the far left, so I knew it wasn’t that. My rough estimate is it looks like it was above the Allermuir Hill region.
“It’s the first time I’ve ever recorded a video like this. But I have seen a few strange lights up there recently.”
The man said he was unsure if the lights were part of a military exercise or if there was some other explanation. However he admitted he had become open to the idea of UFO and alien visitors after the Pentagon released declassified videos of UAPS in 2020.
“I’m not sure what it was,” he continued. “I don’t think it was aircraft or drones because the lights just appeared and disappeared like switching off a light
“To be honest , without knowing if there was some sort of training exercise there last night or not , it’s hard to say if it was a ‘UFO. Although if you said to me five years ago do I believe in them? I’d have said no.
“But you see and hear so much stuff about it these days, it’s hard not to believe?”
