Hull KR look set to see home attendances rise further this season with the capacity of Sewell Group Craven Park to be significantly extended.
Hull Live has learned plans are in place to see the capacity of the stadium increased by around 10 percent with Rovers to be able to welcome 12,200 supporters into the stadium on matchdays.
The 2025 treble winners have seen unprecedented demand for tickets on the back of their incredible success, with 10,000 season pass memberships snapped up in no time in the off-season, on the back of the club selling out every home game for two seasons.
The Robins have already made significant upgrades to Craven Park in recent years and have submitted extensive planning applications to transform the area around the stadium into a sports village and retail park. The first phase of those plans was completed last year with the introduction of 4g pitches, but the club also hold ambitions of a permanent new main stand and an extension to the east stand.
Plans for permanent new stands have been put on hold for now due to the significant costs associated with such a move, as options are explored.
The East Stand was in effect, extended last year by the addition of a 1,000-seater temporary stand put in place for the season. That stand remains in place for the 2026 campaign as the club continue to examine options for a more permanent structure in its place.
Rovers also introduced a temporary south stand for the final rounds of last season and the play-offs, increasing capacity by 1,000 supporters for the end of season climax. The stand was put in place following the Coldplay concerts and proved a popular addition.
It is understood a decision has now been made to invest in that structure returning and this time being in place for the duration of the full season, allowing the many Rovers fans who are on a waiting list for a season ticket to be able to ensure they secure tickets for the new season.
Details are expected to be confirmed shortly regarding the sale of tickets for the new south stand.
The presence of the new stand is not thought to have any impact on the Craven Streat plans for the season, with the club continuing their popular pre-match fan zone experience.
